The ZooParc de Beauval is committed to protecting your privacy and to complying with the applicable personal data protection laws.

- “data processor”: the natural or legal person, public authority, agency, or other body which processes personal data on behalf of the controller.

Who is responsible for the processing of personal data?
The ZooParc de Beauval is responsible for all the personal data processing described in this policy.
What data is collected?
The categories of personal data collected vary according to the purpose of the processing in question.
Generally speaking, the ZooParc de Beauval will mainly collect your identification data, and in particular:
- Your last name
- Your first name
- Your date of birth
- Your address
- Your email address
- Your mobile telephone number.
If you consent to this by authorising the ZooParc de Beauval to collect your geolocation, the ZooParc de Beauval may use this data for the sole purpose of sending you targeted advertising material.
In the course of using the website, your IP address may also be collected depending on the option you chose for the storage of cookies, which requires your prior consent. Your IP address will also be collected when you decide to use the ZooParc de Beauval or Les Hôtels de Beauval (Beauval Hotels) Wi-Fi network.
When your personal data is collected via online forms, only the fields marked with an asterisk are compulsory, the other fields are optional. A failure to collect compulsory data will prevent the ZooParc de Beauval from carrying out the processing purpose in question.

Who are the recipients of your personal data?
By default, the only personnel authorised to process your personal data are the employees of the ZooParc de Beauval and/or Les Hôtels de Beauval who are specifically authorised to do so.
Certain partners of the ZooParc de Beauval or Les Hôtels de Beauval (Beauval Hotels) may receive your personal data only if you have given your express consent.
When these third parties process personal data originating from data collected via the Website, they act on their own behalf in their capacity as data controllers and/or as joint data controllers with the ZooParc de Beauval. In the event that the ZooParc de Beauval or Les Hôtels de Beauval use the services of external service providers to carry out all or part of the purposes described above, the processing of your personal data is subject to contractual clauses signed with our service providers.
The ZooParc de Beauval does not disclose or market your personal data to third parties except in the exclusive case where the ZooParc de Beauval receives an injunction from the competent authorities pursuant to applicable regulatory obligations.
How long is your personal data kept?
- If you have been a customer of the ZooParc de Beauval or Les Hôtels de Beauval (Beauval Hotels):
Your personal data is kept for the duration of your stay and is then archived for the time required to comply with applicable legal requirements before being permanently destroyed. The default archiving period is five years, in accordance with article L. 110-4 of the French Commercial Code.
- If you are not a customer of the ZooParc de Beauval or Les Hôtels de Beauval (Beauval Hotels):
- For the management of promotional activities or marketing carried out by the ZooParc de Beauval or Les Hôtels de Beauval (Beauval Hotels), your personal data is kept for a maximum period of 3 years from the last contact established with you;
- For the management of newsletters, your data will be kept for as long as you are subscribed;
- For website cookies, your IP address is kept for a maximum time period of 13 months;
- To manage the processing of your requests or any complaints, your data is kept for as long as is necessary to process the request before it is definitively closed.
In certain exceptional situations, your data may be kept for longer than these periods (non-exhaustive examples: as part of a legal dispute, when the ordinary and extraordinary means of appeal are no longer possible against the decision made; for the purposes of complying with certain legal obligations incumbent on the ZooParc de Beauval; at the request of a legal authority, etc.).
What measures do we take to protect your personal data?
The protection of privacy and security is of crucial importance in the way we create and provide our products and services. We take appropriate measures to ensure online security, physical security, eliminate the risk of data loss and other risks, taking into account the risk represented by the processing and the nature of the data being protected. We also limit access to our databases containing personal data only to authorised personnel who have a justified need to access this information.
What rights do you have over your personal data?
In accordance with regulatory provisions, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
The right to access your personal data (the right to obtain confirmation from the ZooParc de Beauval as to whether or not personal data concerning you is processed by us, information about the processing carried out and access to said personal data);

This right is subject to certain requirements detailed in Article 20 of the RGPD (General Data Protection Regulation);
- The right to object to the processing carried out. This right is subject to certain requirements detailed in Article 21 of the RGPD (General Data Protection Regulation);
- The right to define the fate of your data after your death and to choose whether or not the ZooParc de Beauval communicates your data to a third party that you have previously designated
Finally, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés (French data protection authority) regarding the processing of your personal data.
